Blog Post #1: Intro

  Hello everyone! My name is Madison, and I’m excited to be sharing my thoughts in this space with you all! I’m currently a student at SDSU, majoring in English, and I’ve always been drawn to creativity, drawing, storytelling, and the ways people express themselves whether that’s through writing, art, fashion, or online spaces. One thing that really stands out to me about blogging is how writing exists within communities rather than in isolation. Writing online feels more interactive and alive than traditional academic writing, because it invites connections and conversation. A lot of how I experience the world and connect with others happens digitally, so blogging feels like a natural extension of that. On campus, I’m part of the English major community, which means I spend a lot of time reading and writing. Even outside of class, I notice how being an English major shapes how I think.
